2017 Coteeman Triathlon

In 2015, we were happy to announce the return of the Coteeman Triathlon to downtown New Port Richey!  In a special partnership with the Recreation and Aquatic Center, Main Street provided volunteer assistance with participation led by Bob Smallwood  and volunteers.  We are proud to again be partnering with  New Port Richey’s amazing Recreation and Aquatic Center for 2017 Coteeman Triathlon!

2017 Coteeman Triathlon will be held November 11th at the New Port Richey Recreation and Aquatic Center.

Race proceeds will be used to send underprivileged local youth to summer camp and to help Greater New Port Richey Main Street enhance our beautiful downtown!

Please join us for another great race while supporting two great causes!

We will be combining athletics and sidearm cheering for a super fun event.

More details, race maps, and registration forms are available on the Coteeman Triathlon website.

Boaters Parade on the Cotee River down to Sims Park and back

This annual nighttime boat parade takes place on the first Saturday each December when brightly lit boats and watercraft are launched from Moonlight Bay at 6:30 p.m.  Cruising past the admiring crowds and numerous Holiday parties along the banks, and sailing past the judges stand, the parade finishes at Sims Park in downtown New Port Richey before heading back.  The parade which started in 2000, has become a Holiday staple for the New Port Richey Main Street program.

This boat parade is fun whether it is warm or cold – a very festive way to kick off the Holiday season here in New Port Richey whether you are watching from the shore or participating on a boat or kayak.  This year the fun starts at 6pm on December 2nd at Orange Lake with the Christmas Tree and Card Lighting Ceremony followed by a walk around the lake to see all the cards!  After that head on over to Sims Park for the FREE movie Polar Express!  Saturday the 3rd gets started at noon with arts, crafts, music, food vendors and all around fun!  Application link: Lights Boat Parade
