Let’s Celebrate our Garnet Year in 2017!

The 18th Annual River Lights Boat Parade…is now and forever,               The Cotee River Christmas Boat Parade!

Ahoy to all Boat Captains! Get ready for the annual boat parade on the Pithlachascotee River on the evening of December 2nd. Brightly lit decorated boats and kayaks will launch from Miller’s Bayou, in Port Richey at 6:30 pm. The boats will cruise by the admiring crowds that are viewing the parade from waterfront restaurants, holiday house-parties and sidewalks along the river bank. The parade leads down river to New Port Richey’s famous, Sims Park, where boats glide by the judging stands.

The Cotee River Christmas Boat Parade winner will receive a Garnet Jewelry Set and a complimentary entry in the West Pasco Chamber of Commerce’s Holiday Street Parade (December 9th).

The boat parade has become a cherished holiday event that was started in 2000 by Greater New Port Richey Main Street. The Bayou Business Association is NPR Main Street’s event partner. Both organizations work together to ensure residents and visitors have the opportunity to create lasting memories with their families. These two groups are dedicated to the community and host different events throughout the year in the City of Port Richey and New Port Richey.

2017 Coteeman Triathlon

In 2015, we were happy to announce the return of the Coteeman Triathlon to downtown New Port Richey!  In a special partnership with the Recreation and Aquatic Center, Main Street provided volunteer assistance with participation led by Bob Smallwood  and volunteers.  We are proud to again be partnering with  New Port Richey’s amazing Recreation and Aquatic Center for 2017 Coteeman Triathlon!

2017 Coteeman Triathlon will be held November 11th at the New Port Richey Recreation and Aquatic Center.

Race proceeds will be used to send underprivileged local youth to summer camp and to help Greater New Port Richey Main Street enhance our beautiful downtown!

Please join us for another great race while supporting two great causes!

We will be combining athletics and sidearm cheering for a super fun event.

More details, race maps, and registration forms are available on the Coteeman Triathlon website.
